Went really well. I got to the bridal salon a little early so I started looking for red shoes. No luck. I was thinking of wearing my ivory shoes for the ceremony and then switching to red shoes for the reception, but they have to be the same height as my ivory shoes which is 2 3/4″. Not easy to find. Most heels are 3″ or more. Ugg. We’ll see. I guess I might just leave the ivory shoes. They’re really pretty and I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on another pair of shoes. Anyway, I got to the bridal salon and they had one of the bridesmaid dresses there for me to see along with the flower girl dress. I love how the bridesmaid dress looks, but I’m not crazy about the sash on the flower girl dress. The dress is adorable in itself, but up against the bridesmaid dress, the sash is a little on the pink side. Could have been the lighting…not sure, but in any case I wasn’t thrilled with it. The flower girl doesn’t have to match the bridesmaids anyway…so no big deal I guess. I think I’m being a little neurotic at this point. LOL I’m going with my girls on March 29 for their fitting, so I’ll see what they think then.
I went to the back where the seamstress works and put my dress on. It felt so good putting it on.
Amanda (my seamstress) had to pin almost the entire dress because I’ve lost weight which is a good thing, but now it’s going to be more expensive for me. I’m also making the neckline into a sweetheart. I think that’ll be a little more flattering on me. The train is a chapel train so the bussel is pretty easy. It’s just one snap and it’s going to look sooooo pretty. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see it on April 7th. I’m going to bring my jewelry and hair pin then to see how it looks all pulled together.
She worked so quick. I was out of there within 45 minutes. She pinned in super speed.
